What is resilience, and how do we develop or strengthen it?
Generally, we understand resilience as that admirable quality of being able to face adversity and bounce back after mishap.
Confidence in the face of adversity requires a deep certainty of eventual well-being and success – that we can 'come through' unpleasant experiences, and be enriched by them.
It's an inner strength that enables a positive outlook, despite negative circumstances and events.
The Belief Institute "Confidence, Wellbeing and Resilience" program reveals and workshops the detailed foundations of resilience.
Abilities and beliefs explored and developed include
- Developing a strong sense of self
- Strategies to deal with naysayers
- Building belief that “there's always a solution”
- Experiencing and harnessing emotions, rather than avoiding them
- Seeing the bigger picture (putting things in context)
- Understanding and utilising the deeper interconnections that underlie events and circumstances
- Gaining understanding and wonderment of the cycles of life
- Finding value and meaning in all circumstances
Workshop outcomes
- Ownership of shared business reality1
- Tangible results-driven attitude
- Less anxiety when facing adversity
- Ability to contextualise, see beyond and work through negative or limiting circumstances
- Greater tolerance
The program is specifically tailored for business clients, and is generally at least 2 hours in duration.
Please contact the Belief Institute for more details.
- 1. 'Ownership of shared business reality' includes recognition of how each employee directly and indirectly affects the organisation's operation and performance.
